REFERRAL / INTAKE

The STRAP Juvenile Justice Initiative accepts referrals from juvenile courts, probation departments, schools, parents/guardians, and community partners. All referrals are reviewed to ensure appropriate placement, safety, and alignment with court or diversion requirements.

Who Can Submit a Referral

STRAP programming is not open enrollment. Participation occurs through referral, approval, and assigned placement to ensure accountability and suitability.

1Submit Referral / Intake Form

Complete the referral form with available background, risk factors, and placement needs.

Program Review

STRAP staff review the referral to determine appropriate track placement and delivery format.

Approval & Enrollment

Upon approval, youth are enrolled, roles are assigned, and access is granted to designated programming.

Reporting (When Required)

Court or probation-directed reporting is provided in accordance with placement requirements.

Program Participation

Youth participate in assigned courses with attendance and progress monitoring.
Important Notes
• Disclosure of trauma or exploitation is not required for participation.
• STRAP programming is educational and accountability-based, not clinical therapy.
• Mandated reporting obligations apply under Texas law.
